My Saviour

He is my love and my Lord

My king and my God 

when i was deep in the depths of sin

he came and shone his light

drew me out of the claws of the enemy

spoke sweet words to me 

assured me of his love for me

left me with a love letter

made everything ready

afterwards promised He would be back for me

to take me to where He resides

now when i go through this letter

I understand the price he paid

The words he said

The precious life He laid 

to draw me out of darkness 

into everlasting light

now i do proclaim the love of my Savior

who gave His life for me

who took those stripes for me

who bled when the crown of thorns where pressed in

who grunted when the cross was heavy and pressing

i  have never known a love so profound and true

i write these words just to give you a clue

of the love of My Savior who made me anew
